Quite a low-key place to enjoy some really good Japanese food. The staff is super friendly and proactive. The waiting time is quite less and we got the starters meanwhile. The food is really good and feels authentic. The portion size is good and enough to fill you. There are only two mild negatives I have: 1. There was no Teriyaki chicken option! 😢 2. The prices are a bit on the expensive side. Apart from that, everything else was really nice.

Coming here for lunch was a good idea. Lunch menus offer main dich, small starter and soup, costing around 20 euros, which i feel totally reasonable. Friends told me though that dinner menus can be pricey. It was quite hot on that day so we asked the waiters to switch on the AC if possible. This wish was fulfilled.

I highly recommend this place although it is hidden but it is amazing. The lunch deal is a must get. It comes with soup and rice depending on your meal. You have to arrive early to get a table as they have a limited amount of table and the opening hours are short. The curry katsu is just amazing and I highly recommend it.

Always refreshing finding a Japanese restaurant serving traditional food outside of sushi and ramen. Very much recommend tying the currys and tonkatsu dishes.

Came during lunch and it’s visited by lots of Japanese people. I went here 6 years ago and wasn’t satisfied. Given the good reviews I decided to try once again in November 2023. First: there was a hair in our dish and in the dish of the table next to us. So hygiene doesn’t seem to go with Japanese standards. The katsu was dry and missed juiciness. The curry was alright taste wise. I wouldn’t order this dish again. The karaage was very disappointing. There are way better options. The oil didn’t taste fresh, it felt like kfc chicken with a pinch of soy sauce. Overall kagaya disappointed once again and I will not come back

Delicious! The food was great with a reasonable price. The service is friendly. Restaurant can be very busy in the rush hours. Will definitely coming back again!

So happy we found this place. The Katsu curry was delicious, and so was the sashimi rice bowl. Very authentic! The service was absolutely great. The lady who served us was so kind and sweet. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes!
